    Privacy Policy.

How we collect, use, and protect your information, including how we handle text messages and mobile data.

    Last updated: June 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how A Visual Identity ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit avisualidentity.com, contact us, become a client, or use our client portal. By using our website and services, you agree to the practices described here.

    Information we collect

We collect only what we need to do our work and stay in touch with you:

    • Information you give us. When you fill out a contact or project intake form, request a quote, or email or call us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business details, and anything you choose to tell us about your project.
    • Client portal accounts. If you are a client or an invited team member, we collect your name, email address, and mobile phone number so you can sign in (we send a one-time login code by text) and manage your projects.
    • Project interviews. If you take one of our brand interviews, we collect your responses (typed, spoken, or by text message) and, for voice interviews, an audio recording. We use these to inform the design work for your project.
    • Usage information. Like most websites, we automatically collect basic technical and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring links, through cookies and analytics tools.

    How we use your information

    • To respond to your inquiries and provide quotes and proposals.
    • To deliver our design, web, and marketing services.
    • To create and secure your client portal account, including sending one-time login codes.
    • To conduct project interviews and gather the input we need for your work.
    • To send service-related messages about your account, projects, and invoices.
    • To operate, maintain, and improve our website.
    • To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or abuse.

Text messaging (SMS) and mobile data

We send text messages only to people who give us their mobile number and agree to receive them. We use SMS for two purposes: (1) one-time login verification codes for the client portal, and (2) project interviews and service updates related to your work with us. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

    • Consent. You opt in by entering your own mobile number in our portal or interview flow. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and reply HELP for help.
    • Message frequency and cost. Message frequency varies based on your activity (for example, login codes you request and interviews you take). Message and data rates may apply.
    • No sharing of mobile data. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with the subcontractors who support our services, such as our messaging carrier and customer support, is permitted solely to help us deliver the messages you requested. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell your personal information.

    How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:

    • Service providers. Trusted vendors who help us run our business, such as our messaging carrier, email delivery, hosting, and analytics providers. They may only use your information to perform services for us.
    • Legal reasons. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others.
    • Business transfers. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

    Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. We use analytics tools to measure traffic and improve our content. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the site works.

    Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your account, meet legal and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it.

    Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.

    Your choices and rights

    • Opt out of text messages anytime by replying STOP.
    • Ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.

    Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
